Module 5: Agility

Skating agility is the ability to change the speed and direction of your skates quickly. Jammers are typically very agile players and blockers must be just as agile to keep up. Agility skills use your hip flexor muscles. You need to be able to point your knees out while putting pressure on that leg. There are many exercises to help strengthen the hips. Squats are also recommended exercises. The more stable you are balancing on one skate, the easier agility skills will be.
